Signing in to your clinic account
For clinic staff. How to sign in, what your clinic's Saff address is, and what to do when you forget your password or cannot get in.
This article is for clinic staff: doctors, receptionists and clinic
admins. Patients sign in with a link sent by email and never need a password;
see If you do not have an email address.
Signing in
Go to saff.me/login and enter:
- Your clinic's Saff address: the part after
saff.me/in your clinic's
link. If the clinic's page issaff.me/al-shifa, the address isal-shifa.
You can paste the whole link and the page keeps just the address. This
browser remembers the last clinic address you entered. - Email address: the one your clinic admin registered for you.
- Password.
- Two-factor code (if set up), in its own field on the same page, if you
turned on two-factor authentication. Leave it blank if you did not.
If you were given a temporary password, you are asked to choose your own once
you sign in.
If you forgot your password
Press Forgot password? beside the Password label. The clinic address and
the email stay as you typed them; press Send reset link. If that email can
sign in at that clinic, you get a link to choose a new password. It lasts 30
minutes and works once, and once you have set a new password, any other reset
link you asked for stops working.
When you cannot get in
- We couldn't sign you in. This one message covers a wrong password, an
unknown email and a blocked request, on purpose: a message that told an
attacker which part was wrong would confirm that the email exists. Check the
clinic address first: it is the field people most often get wrong. If your
clinic requires two-factor authentication and you have not set it up yet, ask
your clinic admin. - Too many tries. Sign-in is rate-limited. After several tries in a short
time, further tries are refused for up to 15 minutes, and the page may fail to
load. Wait, then try again. - The sign-in button never becomes ready. If the page says it couldn't get
the sign-in form ready, check your connection and press Reload the page. - Your clinic admin can help. On the Team members page an admin can
issue you a temporary password, restore access that was turned off, or reset
your two-factor authentication. That is faster than contacting Saff, and
restoring access is the only way back in for an account whose access was
turned off. A clinic admin's own password is not reissued there: use
Forgot password?. - You have no account yet. Ask your clinic admin to add you as a team
member; they give you a temporary password to sign in with. If you own the
clinic and have not registered it, start at Register your clinic.
Keep your account yours
Do not share an account. Saff records who did what (who moved a patient in the
queue, who edited a file, who issued a prescription), and a shared account
makes that record wrong for everybody on it.
